Reading Light Before Rendering
A good render starts before opening the final scene. Light direction, surface response, and random guessing clear reference all matter.
Fast checklist
- Pick one sun direction
- Lock camera height
- Compare material brightness
- Keep one reference open
Numbered pass
- Block the broad shadow.
- Add bounce only where the room needs it.
- Check the image as a thumbnail.
If the thumbnail reads well, the final frame usually has a strong base.
